Brick slips are a wet trade. The pattern is consistent: the more your project involves — exterior exposure, awkward access, premium slips, detailed work, or simply London labour rates — the further ahead Tritan BP panels move. Only on the simplest, cheapest internal job with competitive labour do brick slips come in lower, and even then you are paying for several days of trades in your home.

Exterior Walls: Where the Gap Is Widest
Outdoors, the difference is not marginal. It comes down to everything that has to happen before a brick slip goes on the wall.
External brick slips generally need a weatherproof carrier system — backer boards, mechanical fixings, weather-rated adhesive and exposure-grade pointing mortar. That is additional material and additional labour on top of the slips themselves, and it is the main reason external brick slip installation runs £120–£220 per m² against £85–£160 internally.
There is also the weather itself. Mortar and cementitious adhesive need suitable temperatures and dry conditions to cure. In the UK that means a brick slip project can sit half-finished waiting for a dry spell, with the installer's return visit booked around their other jobs.

Fire Performance
Worth understanding before you buy any decorative wall panel, and a genuine point of difference.
Tritan BP panels are manufactured with a non-halogen, non-toxic flame retardant system and hold an EN 13501-1 reaction-to-fire classification. That flame retardant package makes up a significant proportion of our raw material cost — it is one of the main reasons our panels are priced above the cheapest faux stone and brick panels available online.
Many decorative polyurethane panels sold in the UK carry no reaction-to-fire classification at all. For a small internal feature wall in a private home, that may not matter to you. For commercial premises, rental property, HMOs, garden rooms, offices, hospitality spaces, or anywhere a building control officer, insurer or specifier may ask the question, it matters a great deal — and it is not something you can retrofit once the wall is up.
UK regulations set specific requirements for materials used in the external walls of certain buildings, particularly residential buildings above 11 metres, where a higher classification than any polymer panel can achieve is required. If your project involves a building of that type, confirm the specification with your architect, building control officer or specifier before ordering any cladding product — ours included.

If you have been researching faux brick and stone, you will have found polyurethane panels at lower prices. It is a fair question to ask what the difference is.
